Bowling Green High's Whitaker Buchanan scores golden goal 30 seconds into overtime and they defeat #2 ranked Greenwood 1-0! I believe it was Greenwood's first loss to an in-state opponent. Congrats on winning the District Crown Purples!!!

This goal for Whitaker Buchanan, who was selected District Tourney MVP, was her 31st on the season for BG and ties Aaron Jones for most in a season for BG. You should know that Whitaker got those goals in about 10 less games as well due to weather rainouts.

If you want to see a video of the goal you can look up Dominique Yates on Twitter at @RealDYates. She basically took the to the left at the top of the box with defenders nearby and chipped the ball with her left foot and it arced just over the outstretched arms of Greenwood's fine goalie!

Go Purples!!!
