Belfry has not been asked to play their starters in a 4th Quarter for a while now, so a big game against one of West Virginia’s best big schools had people eagerly watching. The Pirates made a statement that they are still the team to beat by looking ultra-impressive. They now look to lock another District Title up against Lawrence County. Lexington Catholic began a “make or break” two game stretch by winning a shootout against Western Hills. The Knights’ Defense will have to solidify quickly with Boyle County up next. Larue County and Casey County remain the lone undefeated teams and Casey County should have little issue keeping that going. Larue County will have a tougher draw against Elizabethtown. One of the most surprising games featuring a pair of 6-1 teams will feature Bath County and Fleming County in a huge District clash.

I just can't fathom Larue County stays unbeaten after playing Etown.

 

For Boyle, realistically this is by far the best chance to get a win vs Lex Cath since Coach Smith's return. You can just never tell about Lex Cath. They play such a tough non-district schedule to prepare for the district and post-season. For Lex Cath to remain in the top 10 with a 4-3 record is a very clear indicator the masses believe they are legit. Friday night will shed a ton of light on the 3A post-season.
