Jim Schue
It started officially on Monday, but tonight has the first major event in the All-Star Sampler. Getting set to head out shortly.
Jim Schue
Two days in the books (technically four, but things don't really get going until Wednesday's Bourbon Sampler), and I'm surviving. Going to be a fun weekend with nice weather and tons of people in Bardstown. If you can make it down, PM me and hopefully we can meet up. I'll be tied up until about 5pm each day (but feel free to come see me at the bar at Mammy's), but can get together afterward for a drink and such if you want to hit me up. I'll be making the rounds downtown both Friday and Saturday evening.
THE SHERIFF
Jim are there craft booths set up during the festival?
Jim Schue
Jim are there craft booths set up during the festival? There are a few — most of the items are bourbon-themed, though. We have the Arts and Crafts Fair coming up Oct. 7-8 as well.

Jim Schue
Thanks. We've been attending the Arts and Crafts Fair for a number of years but we've never been to the Bourbon Festival. One of the coolest things I saw was a booth that was using 1.75 liter bottles and turning them into lamps. They had some really hard-to-find bottles of good stuff in there, and they're tough to find because most everybody buys their whiskey by the fifths. Jim Schue
It was a fun weekend, my 11th KBF (or, at least what I can remember of it since the last 5 days are a fog, and details are running together). I am so physically exhausted it's not even funny. My whole body aches from all the work — two jobs, both of which have a big dependency on big events/tourist stuff. I walked roughly 25 miles the past 3 days, and probably 32 since Wednesday. I tasted a lot of good bourbon this past week, including several I've never tried before (and that's not easy to do for me, as living in Bardstown gives you access to really good whiskey). And a lot of cool-looking rocks glasses to add to the collection!
