The Male Bulldogs will travel to Western High School on Friday. Both teams suffered defeats in their most recent games. Male lost to #1 Trinity 22-0. The Bulldogs held the Rocks offense to 302 total yards. They stopped Trinity on two fourth down attempts and 8 of 15 third down conversions tries. The Bulldogs also forced two turnovers.

Western is on a three game losing streak. After an opening week win over North Oldham, the Warriors lost to Central 13-12, Butler 43-6, and Manual 7-6.The Warriors led 6-0 at the half versus the Crimsons.

Male defeated Floyd Central(IN) 35-10, #9 Ballard 35-14, and 5A Doss 47-7 before facing Trinity.

Look for another stout defensive performance by the Bulldogs versus the Warriors.

Bulldogs are banged up. Depth really not what it has been the last few years. Around 70+ on the roster compared to 100 and injuries are taking a toll especially up front. I know that doesn't seem much and plenty of teams in 6A would love 70 guys but Male has been able to wear most teams down. This isn't the case this season.

Western is gaining great experience playing the teams from a loaded Louisville 6A district. I hope the Bulldogs will take control of this game early and get some varsity experience for some of the younger guys. 28-6
