Final.

The ANTWAIN LOVING SHOW! Loving gets 4 receiving TD's in the 1ST Half and grabbed a total of 6 catches for 154 yards. He also had a 75 yard kickoff return for a TD.

Emanuel Taylor (RB) 14 carries for 140 and a TD. (Only 2 carries in the 2nd half)

Chris Thomas (QB) 9/13 passing 219 yards 4 TD's (all to Loving) and a 43 yard punt return for a TD the games first score. Thomas competed exleast one pass to 5 different receivers. He played QB 1 series in the 2nd half.

Cardell McGregor (FB) had a 46 yard TD run.

Darrick Dillard (WR/DB) a good looking sophomore for the Tigers that's transferred in from Atlanta caught 2 passes on two faked extra points the resulted in the Tigers getting the 2-point conversions. (Both in the 1st half)

Gabe Ladson (DE/OLB) Junior was credited with 5 tackles. The Tigers are starting to show some depth with players getting back into the flow. Ladson has played well the last 4 games.

Union Co. scored 20 points in the 2nd half on Hopkinsville's JV team as the starters and rotation players got most of the 2nd half off.

Side Note: Hopkinsville dressed 74 players tonight. First time in a long time that Hoptown dressed that many.

Wow, 'Talker! I can't remember the last time Hoptown dressed out that many players!! Congratulations on the big win last night (and you know me well enough to know I mean that!).:thumb:

This may be a team hitting their stride at the right time, but I still think they have some questions on defense to answer before the playoffs.

Thank You! The Coaches have done a good job at getting & keeping the kids interested and wanting to be apart of the program. Hoptown right now has over 100 kids in the program. It helps though when you have over 50 freshemn playing freshmen ball. In years past Hoptown would do good to have 20 freshmen. This years freshmen class is loaded with athletes and linemen. I compare them to the 2001 senior class with that much upside. Now not all those 50 will play all 4 years but every school has that same problem.

Scribe: I'm not as worried about the defense as I was 3-4 weeks ago. The first 3-4 games of the year they was playing 9 against 11 with poor Safety play. I didn't realize how bad that position was playing until last week when Loving returned back there and a few other changes was made. The Tigers pass defense will be fine now I think. Junior (DT) Kasey Hall, Sophomore (DE) Marshall Stewart, and Junior (MLB) Jacob Johnson have all played well since becoming starters and doing good things up front. These 3 did not play defense the first 3-4 weeks except for Johnson who played it sparingly. Still got some things to fix but there's a better chance at fixing them now with players returning and others starting to step up.

Brandon Ethridge returned last night but was used sparingly on both sides of the ball. But it does look like the Tigers lost WR Michael Atkinson for the next 2-3weeks with a leg injury.

Antwain Loving's 4 TD catches in the 1st half is a school record. People don't know what he means to this team. He is a difference maker. The UL coaches are watching him closely. He went up there and competed in their WR competition and came in 3rd place. Didn't play as a freshmen or sophomore. Played 3 games last year before being dismissed by the staff for violation of team rules.

This may be a team hitting their stride at the right time, but I still think they have some questions on defense to answer before the playoffs.

Thats a big understatement...There offense is pretty good, but, there D has given up tons this year
