plantmanky Posted August 13, 2017 Author Share Posted August 13, 2017 Heavier door requires a spring upgrade more so than an opener upgrade. Spring adjustment/upgrade makes the door weigh zero. Nothing wrong with moving to a 1 1/4 though. I would almost bet your battery is dying. If you have a meter you can take it out and check voltage. 12 volt I believe, but it will say on the side of the battery. You can probably get a generic replacement at Batteries Plus for less also. I was going to try something similar to this. This unit dorsnt have the screw adjustments but supossedly the two buttons on it slide the drive back and forth. Thanks bunches. BOOM! Glad you were able to get it. I would test the voltage on the battery or replace it. That may have started your problem.
