Florida 5 Louisville 1 (College World Series)

Featured Replies

Tough night for the Cards! Brilliant pitching by Florida’s Brady Singer. (Singer, btw, reminded me of Orel Hershiser, has the look of your everyday accountant on the street, but can crush your soul on the mound!!)

With the loss, Louisville is now 1-1 in Omaha and will face TCU in an elimination game on Thursday at 8pm on ESPN2. The winner between the Cardinals and Horned Frogs will advance to face Florida on Friday at 8pm on ESPN.

Still a chance for a dramatic comeback.... Go Cards!

Chances missed and chances converted. That was the difference in the game.

McClure pitched brilliantly over 6 IP except for 2 pitches. 9 Ks and allowed only 3 hits (1 of which was a bleeder, excuse me swing) and 1 BB, but all 4 of those baserunners scored on 2 HRs.

Singer was awesome and didn't give the Cards much early and the Cards didn't convert on opportunities in the 7th and 8th innings with several LOB.

Baseball is a cruel mistress.

Tough mountain to climb. Got to beat TCU with plenty of pitching options available to them and if you do your reward is to face Florida having to beat them 2x to advance. Nothing is impossible. Impossible is nothing. Water the bamboo and Run to the Roar!
