Final.

The Eagles sack Cougar QB Jimmy Nauert on the Eagle 13 yd. line as time expires to preserve the win.

Bethlehem improves to 5-0 to set up the potential for an end-of-the-season battle of unbeatens with Bardstown.

Both teams played very sloppily with numerous turnovers and penalties. Eagles did get 2 TD's from Billy Jackson, including an 85 yd. kickoff return for TD.

Soph. QB Nauert for Holy Cross showed incredible moxy, marching HC from their own 20 to the Eagle 13 during the final 3 minutes, all on passes, including several 3rd and 4th down conversion throws. This kid will be a star.

HUGE win for the Eagles as it sets up a probable crosstown matchup between undefeateds Bethlehem and Bardstown for the district championship

Curious to hear how Billy Jackson did in this one.

After looking at the schedules I think its safe to say both Bardstown and Bethlehem will be 9-0 when they meet October 31 @ Bethlehem

Billy had an 85 yd. kick return for TD, 4 yd. TD run, 4 pass receptions for 48 yds, and 67 rushing yards (unofficial). He also had 50+ yards in penalties in the Friday part of the game, that cost the Eagles dearly. Obviously that was discussed over the weekend, because he had none on Monday.

I think the Green County/Bethlehem game could be interesting. Green has only lost once and has been blowing some opponents out. They continue to play, shall we say, an aggressive style of football and they HATE Billy Jackson. They will be looking for revenge for last years 42-0 pounding at the hands of the Eagles.
