swamprat
UCF with a huge 3rd inning, scoring 6 runs. The only USF bat doing anything was David Villar who accounted for 3 of the Bulls' 5 hits on the night and scoring their only run. The Knights had 17 hits and USF walked 7. UCF scored 9, but stranded 14, so it could have been much worse on the Bulls. UCF's Chris Williams pitched 7 scoreless innings allowing only 3 hits and stuck out 6. Ryan Valdes had his worst outing of the season giving up 6 runs on 7 hits. He stuck out 3 and walked 2. UConn won earlier today and Houston beat Cincinnati, so there is now a 4 way tie at the top of the conference. Everybody is 14-9. Tomorrow's USF/UCF game in on CBSSN at 1. I found out, listening to the broadcast, that USF has never beaten UCF twice in Orlando in a single season. My expectations are low.
swamprat
USF HC, Mark Kingston, did not use any of his top relievers in this game, sending out 2 barely used freshmen and a senior who only is not normally used on the weekends. Saving everything for the final push.
