GoPro advice needed

Any GoPro users out there? Been thinking about possibly getting one for vacation. We are headed on a cruise in June. I didn't want to spend the money for their top of the line if I didn't need to but wanted to hear from those of you who have experience with them.

 

Would love to ise it while snorkling etc.

 

What would you all suggest as well as accessories recommended etc.
