No was the D/H in the Conner game and pitched and won vs. Holy Cross (Cov) today.

CovCath is especially young this year with a few season-opening injuries.

 

The only starting player playing against the Cougars on Friday was Eckerle pitching

 

Schrand C was a sub last year and is playing due to Kennedy being out injured

Cody 3B JV player last season

Schneider SS JV player last season had a few games as a DH and PR/CR as a varsity player

Colvin 2nd JV player last season

Thiel LF varsity sub last year

Dietz CF JV player last season

Coldrion RF JV player last season

Maile 1B Did not play last season due to injury

 

Also, no excuse but the NDA prom was Friday night and I think a young man or two on the CovCath Baseball team, had other things on their mind. Come on guys, you remember back in the day.:-)

 

These are young but good players who will by the end of the year be very good but they are just getting their feet wet on the Varsity level and it will be some walking prior to running.

 

Sounds to me like a lot of excuses and that CCH pitchers and fielders got shelled by Connor while CCH couldn't produce against Connors pitchers and fielding...
