February 25, 20179 yr Author Game 1: South Florida 5 Miami 1 WP: Phoenix Sanders 7 innings, 0 runs, 5 hits, 10 Ks. LP: Cole Gnetz 2.2 innings, 4 runs (2 earned), 4 hits, 2 Ks. Sanders had the bases loaded in the 3rd and managed to get a strike out and popup to end the threat. Although only one was recorded as an error, 2 dropped flies by Miami resulted in 3 USF runs. Miami's lone run came on a home run by Ross Haffey in the top of the eighth. The Bulls tallied 15 strikeouts, to 8 for the Redhawks. Of the 7 batters USF's closer, Joe Cavallaro, faced, 1 walked and 5 stuck out. The First Pitch Friday Buffet was pull pork sandwiches, hot dogs, macaroni salad, brownies, cookies, and a build your own tater tot bar. Drinks were ice tea, water, assorted sodas, beer, and wine. I'm stuffed.

February 26, 20179 yr Author Game 3: South Florida 3 Miami (OH) 2 In the bottom of th 9th, pitcher, Brad Schwartz had the game in hand for Miami. The Redhawks were up 2-0, Schwartz had put David Villar on first, but had stuckout Luke Borders and Tyler Dietrich for his 9th and 10th strikeouts of the game. Now, he had a 0-2 count on Chris Chatfield. Chris smashed the next pitch way over the right field wall, tying the game. Schwartz was pulled. The next Miami pitcher allowed a double by Duke Stunkel Jr. Then Andres Leal, playing in his first game in over year due to injury, smacked a base hit to center scoring Stunkel.
February 27, 20179 yr Author Game 4: South Florida 11 Miami (OH) 2 Miami scored in the top of the first and the top of the ninth. USF used 5 pitchers in the game. However, the Redhawks marched out 7. The Bulls are now 7-1. The Redhawks are 0-7.
