Boys' 29th Final - Oldham Co vs. South Oldham live video

Featured Replies

Tomorrow night's (Friday 2/24/17) is shaping up to be a fantastic 29th district final as the top two ranked teams in the 8th region battle for the district title at Oldham County HS.

Oldham County is going for their 7th consecutive title... The Colonels score 68+ ppg, but are most known for their tenacious 32 minute defense. Ismail Jones (13.5 ppg) leads the Colonels and is one of the region's most consistent scorers. Point guard Jackson Gibson is an explosive scorer despite being one of the smallest players on the court.

South Oldham has played second fiddle to Oldham in the district of late - but the Dragons have won 3 of the last 4 region 8 titles. The Dragons are on pace to break their own record - from last year - for the most made three pointers in a season; they average 12 makes a game. 6'3" senior guard Jo Griffin is the 8th Region player of the year; he averages 21 ppg and scored 32 in the first round against North Oldham.

Both teams are ranked in the top 20.
