Mason Blair tied state record for made 3FG in a season per KHSAA record book (145). Blair had 5 triples in the game on route to 28 points. He outscored Ashland 18-15 in the 4th as JC outscored Ashland 29-15 total.

Cole Crace had 21 points for JC. Ashland outplayed the Golden Eagles for 3 quarters but poor free throw shooting and turnovers allowed the comeback to happen. If they play like that, the Tomcats will be tough to deal with in the tournament. They did well against the pressure and attacked the glass on both ends.
