gold sunrise Posted December 29, 2016 Author Posted December 29, 2016 GRC Hoops Drives Dixie Down Hebron, KY – GRC Hoops (10-1) got back on the winning track in the opening round of the LaRosa’s Holiday Classic at Conner with a 65-30 victory over Dixie Heights (6-7). The contest was really never in doubt as the Lady Cardinals jumped out to a 23-5 1st quarter lead. Dixie Heights was unable to mount a serious challenge to the Lady Cards. GRC’s offense saw 3 players score double digits led by Kennedy Igo’s 15 points. Right behind her were Shamaya Behanan with 13 points and Jasmine Flowers with 12. Also contributing for GRC were Elizabeth Hardiman (8 pts), Maleaha Bell (6), Hayley Harrison (6), and Kylee Murray (5). GRC completed the game shooting 28-56 (50.0%) from the field including 3-9 (33.3%) from behind the 3-point line. Behanan pulled down 9 rebounds to lead all Lady Cardinals on the boards. Harrison and Igo each dished out 4 assists. Igo also finished with an impressive 7 steals. BoosterB Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 GRC looked great, smooth and very quick. Obviously well coached. Press was amazing causing multiple turnovers. First time seeing them play, really good chemistry. Dixie looked lost and couldn't handle the quickness of GRC.
