The Mustangs were outscored 14-4 in the final 4:42 of the first half, which proved to be the difference in the game and the margin of victory. Brossart cut the Panthers lead to four with 4:34 to go in the game, but that was as close as we would come on this night in the Capital City as the home team prevails 66-56.

The Mustangs were led by Junior Zach Hamberg who drained four three-point goals with 22 points. Sophomore Bryan Duffy added 10.

The Panthers were paced by slick-shooting Sophomore Juanya Frank with 20 points including a trio of 3-pointers. John Tillman added 13, and Cody Carter 11.

The Panthers improve to 2-4 on the season while the Mustangs fall to 1-5.

Brossart will host both Bracken County (Friday) and Highlands (Saturday) this weekend.

The JV game went to Frankfort 49-46 as Jevon Bush gave his team their first lead of the second half on a half-court buzzer-beater as time expired in the contest.
