Male vs. North Oldham predictions

Male (2-0) travels to Goshen, KY tonight to play North Oldham (1-0).

 

These two teams have played five times in their history, including each of the last four seasons. Male has won all five meetings, but three of the five were decided by 7 points, 5 points, and 2 points.

 

Last year, Male had one of their better teams, going 25-6 behind star Alex Cook, who averaged 18.2 ppg / 9 rebounds. Cook scored 16 points and claimed 12 rebounds in last year's 88-51 Male victory over North.

 

Cook graduated, along with three other Male starters, but the Bulldogs are still off to a nice 2-0 start. The lone returning starter, Hogan Brownley, a 6-3 senior, is off to a fast start this year, averaging 15 ppg / 11.2 rebounds in his first two contests.

 

Jalen Henry (18 points), Zach Wheeler (10 points) and William Bonny (10 points) led North last year. All three return this year, but Henry will miss tonight's game.

 

Wheeler, the Mustangs' leading scorer last year at 15.4 ppg, is one of the 8th region's deadliest shooters; he hit 109 threes last season while shooting 44.0% beyond the arc.
