Should be a good game between two young teams. Your thoughts and predictions. Game is at GRC.

It should be a good one. Central is having a lot of their players just getting their feet wet at the varsity level. Cozart and Muntz( both sophomores) the 2 bigs are the only returning players with a lot of varsity of experience. Free throws have been the weakness for this team so far. In the Southern win it could have been an easy win if they would have made the FT. Lafayette would have probably been a win if they hit free throws, they shot around 40%, but that's part of the game and needs to be fixed.

Cozart has left off from last year making it very difficult to get to the rim. His offense is still a work in progress but gets better each time out. Muntz plays hard and is good around the basket and 15ft out. Minter seems to back fully from a summer injury, and Gerald's is probably the best shooter. It should be a fun and exciting game. All I can say for sure is, we will be MUCH better by the end of the year.

Good post thanks. Do you have # for each of the players? How big are your bigs?

We are not very tall but can get it up the floor. Cooper is our floor general and only starter we have form last year. We have no seniors but lots of juniors with little experience. We also start a Sophomore in Jordan Graham. He is the son Coach Graham for the Girls. Very talented young man and athletic. We have Philpot and Jenkins that play the post. Both are hard working players. Johnson is a great rebounder and all round player. Cooper, Taylor and Williams can all hit the 3 if they are hot. Then we have off the bench Clark quick and athletic, Dijiba, very long and athletic . Knowles getting better each game.

I think we could be a regional contender by the end of the season.

Cozart is #50 is 6' 6" with a 7 foot wingspan thus his block totals

Muntz is #34 is 6' 5"

Minter is # 5 guard 5' 11"

Geralds is #23 G/F 6' 2"

Those 4 will start then he plays a pretty tight rotation with Roberts, Mays, Long who are the 3 seniors and McKee who is a junior. If Cozart gets in foul trouble then another Sophomore in Pressley comes in who is around 6' 3".

I too think we will be a lot better by the end of the year, but a lot of learning between now and then I am afraid.
