November 11, 20169 yr While all the focus has been on Trump's win, not much has been said about the fact that the Kentucky House of Representatives is now, by Super Majority, in Republican hands. Even former Speaker, Democrat Greg Stumbo got rejected by voters on Tuesday. Republicans hold the upper hand in both legislative chambers and hold nearly every statewide administrative office. It is likely that we will not see a democrat elected to a Statewide office for quite a while.
November 11, 20169 yr One of the best early results of Tuesday night was seeing 2 longtime house members Greg Stumbo and Hubert Collins go down. Both with 30 plus years in Frankfort and nothing to show for it. Good riddance fellas.
November 11, 20169 yr We'll see about how long the Democrats are out of it. While I know a lot of Kentuckians were furious about how things have been going, I don't know how many of them are going to ultimately be super excited about the policy agenda this legislature and this governor are going to start pushing through.
