Final from Dixie. CovCath needs to do better to move on the next game. Odd strategy by NCC to continue in a defensive posture late into the game down by 2 goals.

Not one of CCH's better efforts on the season, but from my view the game was very one sided. CCH had ton of chances and NCC had one decent look off a free kick that went high, Cody did not even have to make a play on it. We heard all about how NCC was a tough out, had given CCH trouble in regionals since 2011 to whatever, not in 2016.

Congrats to CCH on the win and NCC will be back, sounds like they started a lot of juniors last night.

Unfortunately NCC didn't play to win but rather not to lose. Once down 1-0 that strategy goes out the window. Didn't look like they made any adjustments to make a legit effort to win even when down 2-0. I think NCC was a tougher out than twss is giving credit. 2-0 isn't a blowout but true NCC didn't make much of a threat to score primarily due to strategy.

Correct, playing defensively when it's 0-0 is one thing but then when you go down 1-0 most coaches would press some numbers forward. CCH scores very early in the second half to go up 2-0 and at that point it looked like the NCC staff got even more defensive and were trying to avoid the blowout.

I don't believe NCC had a shot on goal in the second half. Pretty boring game actually but CCH did what they needed to do and moved on. Tough out? Not really.

Hey you said it! Not me! :lol2:

Congrats to Cov Cath for moving on. Also congrats to NCC for a good year. I know lots of good kids on the NCC team and have seen a lot of really nice facebook posts complimenting the effort of both teams. Good luck to the Colonels.

Congrats to CovCath on the win and moving on to the semifinals. Best of luck to the NCC seniors who finished their HS careers last night.

Missed being at the game live but I have to tip my hat for a job well done and a big thank you to the CCH broadcast team of Mark Wehry and Dave Gronotte for bringing the live action right to my computer.

Good luck on Thursday CCH, just keep moving on to a repeat!
