TexasRanger Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 A friend planted a couple acres of sun flowers for the first time in many years. The dove activity has been very sparse to say the least. I haven't shot doves since I was a little kid so I really have no idea what's wrong. Is it the new field? The heat? Any tips or tricks on drawing more birds in?
dd734 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Did he get the sunflowers sowed early? Do they have good seeds? Doves will go to another local seed crop if there isn't sufficient mature seeds in the sunflowers.
TexasRanger Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 Yes, bushogged a couple passes thru, seeds look fine.
