Following a scoreless first half, NCC found the back of the net at the 5:20 point in the second half, which would be enough to propel them to the "A" State Tournament where they will play Louisville Holy Cross at 1pm this coming Saturday at Capital View Park in Frankfort.

 

The Mustangs had our chances, most memorable a Cody Chism breakaway and a shot that sailed inches over the top of the crossbar.

 

The Mustangs have represented the 9th/10th Regions for the past three seasons, winning the "A" State Championship in 2013. This will be NCC's first appearance since 2011.

Fun game to watch, congrats NCC. I was hoping to sing happy birthday to TAC tonight but I guess he found a better offer. Big turnout by both schools students.

Congrats NCC and good luck in Frankfort. Sounds like Brossart played well, 3 years in a row, one All A State Championship, nothing to be ashamed of.
