Not sure why this isn't on the KHSAA site (it isn't even showing on Henderson's schedule), but Henderson County lost to Indiana power Gibson Southern today, 49-14. Losing isn't fun, but this game was played in Indianapolis at the Colts' stadium. Pretty cool experience for the kids!

Henderson played their best game of the season vs the best team on their schudle Henderson is just not very good.

Why?

Why?

Why aren't they very good? There's a long list of reasons. Talent being down from previous years. A murder's row of a schedule. Lack of experienced players. A new head coach. A old head coach that left the program in a bad state.

People are going crazy as if this wasn't unexpected. Everyone in Henderson knew this season would be a long grind of a rebuilding year. The same thing happened in 07 when Clevenger took the job. They went 2-9 but he got the program in a good place and put together some solid 8-9 win seasons with deep playoff runs. It takes time.

Absolutely. Just thought when this new guy came in it was going to be a snap. I thought it was going to be a tough road to hoe for him as well.

On a bright note the jv team beat Gibson southern which their jv team hadn't lost in 4 years at least and they had put up 60 pts twice this year just got 30 tonight.

That's big. GS is a great program with Hart.
