Fort Campbell 49 Fort Knox 3

Final

It looks like Fort Campbell has another strong defense, giving up just 3 points against what was said to be a good running game by Ft. Knox. The Ft. Campbell defensive coordinator always has those boys ready to play.

Our defensive coordinator alwayse has a great game plan in to stop the opposing team. All Ft. Knox was doing was giving the ball to their runningback. We got great containment on him tonight and kept them to around 150 tatal yards. Its very ironic however that such a high reputation runningback got defensive player of the game when Ft. Campbell pounded Ft. Knox's defense into the ground. Sure the guy made some plays on defense but I think the award should have gone to a Ft. campbell player, perhaps Quintin Royster, a D-end with 2-3 sacks and many more tackles. Or mabey Dexter Derante, Ft. Campbell's saftey who probly had the most tackles in the game and was flying around the field all night. But anyway good luck to Ft. Knox during the rest of their season.

Maybe so, but from my understanding a Ft. Campbell player received offensive player of the game. Giving a deserving player on the other side is the right thing to do. Congrats to both players.
