May 26, 201610 yr Author Walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th. #8 UCF 7, #4 Cincinnati 6 UCF will play the winner of tomorrow's Houston/Tulane game, Friday at 11AM. UC is heading home ... or to the beach. I imagine it depends on the hotel they stayed in and if it's paid up for the week.
May 26, 201610 yr Author I guess USF Head Coach Mark Kingston wanted that game against ECU really bad. Doing something I've never seen before, he used all three of his weekend starters in the game. Brandon Lawson, normally the day 2 starter in a weekend series, went 7 innings, Joe Cavallaro, the day 3 starter, pitched the 8th, and Phoenix Sanders, who started every game 1 this season, started the 9th and got the save. Tommy Eveld, normally the weekend closer, has been named to start against UConn tonight. I've seen Tommy go 7 innings in relief twice in extra inning games this season. Both times he was lights out. I assume Kingston will go back to Cavallaro for middle relief, given he only pitched one inning today, and use Sanders as the closer again. Different, but what have they got to lose? The remainder of that staff is a bomb waiting to go off.
