Basketball season for 2016/2017 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Apollo? Remember, please be constructive.

Look for Apollo High School to march their way through the 9th District AND 3rd Region in 2016-2017 all the way to Rupp Arena. I felt strongly that Alex Gray was completely left off All District and All Region team last year as a Sophomore. He should easily be considered the POY for this upcoming season, but, will have close competition from sharp shooting Hayden Shelton who's gaining quite a bit attention from summer AAU and many D1 schools. Apollo will will have the strongest back court in Shelton and Zach Hopewell. Look for Alex Gray to dominate locally in the middle against District and Region competition. You'll see decent bench support from Guard Tabor Shadowen and good shooting from Nathan Boyle. I don't see a serious threat for Apollo. Catholic hurt by Graduation as well as Daviess County. Owensboro High has a chance to be good but are a terrible match up against the players from Apollo. I see Apollo as too athletic for the local teams, as I've seen them play numerous times. Look for a banner season coming up.
