This game started last Tuesday and was stopped due to weather with Shelby County leading 3-1 in the 5th. Due to more rain and Collins playing the LIT, the remainder of the game was made up tonight. Collins started out by scoring a run in the bottom of the 5th to cut it to 3-2, then scored another run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th to send it to extra innings. After a full game worth of scoreless baseball, Austin Jennings finally came through with a bases loaded single with 1 out in the bottom of the 15th to win it 4-3.

 

Collins out hit Shelby County 14-5. Will McDonald picked up the win, pitching all 11 innings tonight. Will gave up just 1 hit, walked 2, and struck out 5. Jennings finished the game 4-7 with 2 RBI. McDonald also had 3 hits.

 

This win gives Collins the #1 seed in the 30th district tournament.
