The 2016 Kentucky State Freestyle, Greco-Roman, & Sombo State Tournament will be held on Saturday May 7 at Campbell County High School. This will be a great opportunity for wrestlers to get to try new styles of wrestling.

Pee-wee: (Born 2009-2010) Weight Classes: 35, 40, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85 (10 lbs. maximum difference)

Bantam: (Born 2008-2009) Weight Classes: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 + (15 lbs. maximum difference)

Intermediate: (Born 2006-2007) Weight Classes: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, 120 + (20 lbs. maximum difference)

Format: Round Robin brackets for weight classes with 6 or less wrestlers. Double Elimination brackets for all others. Size of each bracket will be determined by the number of wrestlers entered per weight-class. Weight-classes may be combined to ensure the maximum number of matches for all wrestlers.

Freestyle & Greco-Roman Bout Length: 3:00 for all divisions

Registration: IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL WRESTLERS PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS TOURNAMENT ON TRACKWRESTLING (www.trackwrestling.com).

Weigh-Ins: The only on-site weigh-in will be from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Friday May 6.

*THERE WILL BE NO WEIGH-INS THE MORNING OF THE TOURNAMENT. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Coaches may challenge a wrestler’s weight 1 hour prior to the start of the wrestler for that age division. Coaches wishing to challenge a wrestler’s weight must notify the Head Pairer & Tournament Director immediately.

Remote Weigh-Ins: We are STRONGLY ENCOURAGING clubs & coaches to host remote weigh-ins sites for the tournament. If you plan on hosting a site, please contact Garrett Pikul. Wrestlers who weigh-in at a remote weigh-in site must pre-register on Trackwrestling. Remote weigh-in sites will be posted on Kentuckywrestling.com as soon as they become available.

Entry Fee:

$20 for 1 Style, $30 for 2 styles, 3^rd Style is free. This tournament is the qualifier for Freestyle and Greco Regional.

*ALL WRESTLERS MUST HAVE A USA WRESTLING CARD IN ORDER TO PARTICPATE. USA Wrestling cards will be sold on site the morning of the tournament & can be purchased for $40.00 the morning of the tournament. Cards can also be purchased online at www.themat.com for $40.00.

Admission: $5 Adults and $10 Cooler Fee

* A concession stand will be available throughout the day for wrestlers & spectators.

Session 1: 10:00am to conclusion: Sombo & Greco-Roman (All Divisions)

Greco-Roman & Sombo clinics will be held at 9:30 a.m. prior to the start of wrestling

Session 2: 11:30 a.m. to conclusion: Pee-wee-Schoolboy Freestyle

Session 3: 12: 30 p.m. to conclusion: Cadet-Senior Freestyle
