In the season opener, Jr. Haley Meyers, strikes out 7 of the 1st 8 Wildcats in 3 innings of no-hit work. The Breds So. hurler, Jaden Watts, goes the final 2 innnings allowing only 2 hits, but the Wildcats plate five in the 5th. However, Fr. 2nd baseman, Jenna Fryer, puts a "crimp" in things for the Wildcats with a nice running "shoestring" catch behind the 2nd base bag and turns and fires a strike to Kennedy Bin to double up the Newport runner.

Breds only collect 5 hits, but are aided by 14 "free passes".

Fr. catcher, Kacy Zimmerman, goes 2/2 with 3 RBI.

Breds travel to Union on Tuesday to take on the Ryle Raiders.
