Johnson Central 35 Shelby Valley 0 Scrimmage

Featured Replies

This scrimmage was run like an actual game in its format. JC dominant the game from the 2nd series of offense on til both varsities took a seat at the end of the 3rd quarter. Once again the JC defense was solid, i think they held Shelby Valley under 100 yds offense. The offense of JC started slow but picked up as the game went along. The QB was good throwing the ball around the field to a number of different recievers. JC used a lot of different backs in the backfield along with alot of different formations. Good job Eagles but now its time to get focused on the real season which starts with North Laurel friday. Good Luck to both teams on a successful and injury free season.

I was not very impressed with JC's intensity last night. They played dead the whole first half. I think the defense played pretty well all night, but the offense was sluggish, especially running the ball. They did come out the second half and play much better. They better get ready for next Friday at London!

My sentiments exactly. Bordered on boring. I heard North Laurel was scouting heavily, so that kind of explained that. I was impressed by the way Shelby Valley hung in there the first quarter, but Central had was too much talented depth. SV will whup up on alot of smaller schools this year, and I got the feeling that had they had time to throw, they could have been much more effective.
