As expected, the Lakers advance over the Hornets, becoming the first team in the 4th Region tournament. Russell County has never missed a region tournament since moving to the 4th Region in 2006, this being their 11th consecutive appearance. The Lakers led just 10-8 after one, but had a 20-2 second quarter, allowing them to coast from there. They'll play the winner of Clinton County and Cumberland County, most likely it will be Clinton County.
