It was a varsity only game tonight up on the "hill", as the JV team was at CovCath in the JV tourney finals. The Breds only had seven players tonight, Weyer, Moeves, Ludwig, Hall, Pangallo, & the Anderson twins....but had no problem with the visiting black 'n gold Tigers.

 

It was raining down trizzle-bombs, as 5 different Breds connected on 16 from the land of 3. :eek: Hall 5, Ludwig 4, B. Anderson 4, Moeves 2, Weyer 1. During one stretch the Breds scored 18 straight points on 3-balls from Ludwig (3), Moeves (2), & B. Anderson.

 

Brennen Hall in his 1st game back since the Beechwood game two weeks ago was on fire, during a 82 seconds stretch in the middle of the 2nd quarter he scored 11 in a row on an UNBELIEVABLE drive and reverse move at the rim, a steal and bucket, and back to back triples. His ability to penetrate is a weapon that has been missed.

Well I guess the draw is tomorrow? The 3 seed is like the golden ticket in this district.

Although Newport had a great showing tonight, you at least have a shot at getting to the regional instead of winning the 4/5 game and getting bounced by the Breds.
