The Homers game of the week was a good one. Kerry Stovall's Mustangs toughed out the win in the 4th quarter behind a big performance from Noah Mcelwain. I really like the way Muhlenberg plays. They get up and down the floor and can shoot the lights out. They like to put a lot of pressure on opposing defenses and things are starting to come together for them. They may be hampered by a lack of post presence but they can beat anyone if they are shooting the ball well.

Mclean got 35 points from Sam Miller, who has emerged as one of the better scorers in the 3rd region. The Cougars up and down season continues. They had a shot to secure the district bye with a win, but now Ohio County gets that spot due to the tiebreaker. These two teams will meet again in Muhlenberg County in a 10th district tournament elimination game, a few weeks from now.
