Owensboro 70 Apollo 60

The champs were able to secure the #3 seed in the 9th district with their 2nd win of the season against Apollo. Coach Drake is running several guys in and out of the lineup trying to find the right combination of players. Jacoby Harris led the Devils with 18. He got a lot of help from Cory Gardner who is starting to work his way into more and more minutes. Owensboro rebounded the ball much better vs Apollo than ive seen all season. That is something solid to build on.

Apollo looks to be regressing a bit, at this point in the season. They arent very good defensively and aside from Zach Hopewell, they arent getting consistent scoring from anyone. Time is running out on the Eagles to get things going in the right direction. At this point, you almost are what you are. PG Ben Moss COULD return to the lineup next week, pending his appeal with the KHSAA. He would be a big lift to a lineup in desperate need of a spark.
