Ashland Post 76 defeated Shelbyville Post 37 by a score of 8-4.

 

Game 3 will be played tomorrow at 1:00 (Shelbyville vs Oldham County)

 

Game 4 will be the winner of Game 3 vs Ashland Post 76 at 5:00.

 

If a 5th game is necessary, it will probably be played on Monday.

Shelbyville eliminated Oldham County in the first game 16-6 in 7 innings. (9 inning game so the 10 run rule is in effect after 7)

 

 

Then Shelbyville Beat Ashland in tonights game by a score of 8-4 forcing a final game Monday night at 5:00

 

The Winner will advance to the State Tournament that begins on Thursday at St Catherine College.

 

Should be a good ballgame tomorrow night. Anyone within driving distance of Boyd County High School should come on out and watch two quality teams go at it.

Congrats to Post 76. Good luck in the State. I hope they can advance, the State tourney has been a rough road for the Sixers over the years going into the Championship of the State undefeated only to lose 2 straight to Morehead on more than one occassion. Maybe this is the year with the assist from the Orange Crew.
