In a District seeding game at Dayton tonight, the Greendevils give the Breds a very good fight through 3 quarters, before the NewCath pulls away.

Nice balanced scoring attack by the Breds, however, the turnovers need to be minimized and they must do a better job on the boards.....the Greendevils killed them on the glass.

I was very impressed with the play of the Greendevils, Coach Bev Smith has a very nice bunch, and only one senior. These girls played hard and were not fazed at all. Jr. Reba Sanders and Sr. Lindsey Trimnell gave the Breds fits all night. Sanders goes 6'2" and was great in the 1st half (10pts.), however her time was limited on the floor because of fouls....when she was in it made a difference. It should be interesting to see how this Dayton team progresses over the remainder of the season and into next year with such a young bunch.

Dayton has really good group of kids and athletes there right now. Seem to have coaches in place that can motivate the kids to play hard...at least on the girl's side (Just don't know the boys side as well).

I enjoy watching their basketball and Softball teams compete.
