With the new 6 class system going in place next year, the KHSAA said that schools would be allowed to play up a class. If this is the case, if several of the schools chose to play up, that will make for a large number of teams in that class.

 

IMO, I believe that all the schools that choose to play up a class should file a form now and the KHSAA should finalize it for a set number of years. Then In return I think that they should adjust the enrollment numbers to even out the classes so you don't have 10 or 12 more teams playing in one class than another. Which could also cause some districts with just 4 teams to only have 3 or less. I am under the impression they want the classes to be evenly divided. How will or should they address this issue, because it will be a problem.
