The Brossart Mustangs (5-2) renewed a rivalry with an old NKAC Division III foe on Monday night at Ben Flora Gym in Bellevue, as we took on the Dayton Greendevils, prevailing 66-51.

 

The Mustangs were led by Jacob Zai with 17 points, and Joey Hickman with a double/double at 15 points and 11 rebounds.

 

Mustangs led 9-4 after a quarter, 30-18 at the half, 50-31 after three and liberally exercised our bench, closing out the contest at 66-51.

 

The scrappy Greendevils, now 5-3 on the season, were led by Adrian Hall with 13, Phillip McDaniel 12, and both Seth Chinn and Draven Garcia with 11.

 

The Mustangs will take on the Bellevue Tigers, another former NKAC D-III rival at 8pm on Tuesday night for a berth in the Wednesday night finals.

 

The Greendevils will take on Robertson County at 4pm in the consolation bracket.
