Does anyone on here have a telescope? I'm thinking of getting an Orion SkyQuest XT10g. One thing is I didn't know if there was a time of year that may be better to buy.

 

I'm really interested in this, and I can't wait to get one.

I bought one for one of my sons years ago, but it is not a very expensive one. It is sitting in the attic as he didn't take an interest in it. It was a good thought, and I fancied having a closer look at the sky, but I lost the instructions, and I could never get the kind of look I wanted. Otherwise it was best used outside, and the best nights are the clear/cold dark winter nights, but it is cold!
