Remember these rankings will be based on current play and not just the record or one good/bad game. There are two teams that are still above everyone else, but Graves County has been playing very well as of late and can make it a three way if they can keep it up. Here are the rankings as of 12/7/15.

 

1. Paducah Tilghman (1-0)

The Blue Tornados opened the season with a dominating performance over Region 1 contender Carlisle. They were very impressive as this game was supposed to be much closer.

 

2. Murray (3-0)

Murray has looked very good in their first 3 games. Two of those opponents were from out of state and one from region 1 Fulton Co. Big game on Tuesday at Graves County.

 

3. Graves (2-1)

Graves played a very impressive game against state contender Bowling Green. If they can play like that for the rest of the season, then they will have a great chance to contend for the region 1 title. Huge game Tuesday vs Murray

 

4. Marshall (3-0)

Marshall has had a great start to the season and in region 1 play. 4 region games this week will really tell where they stand in the region. (Carlisle, McCracken, Fulton Co. Murray).

 

5. Carlisle (2-1)

Carlisle was handily defeated by region leader Paducah Tighlman, but had two decent games against St. Mary and an out of state team. Has a lot of work to do to live up to their expectations.

 

6. McCracken County (3-0)

Great start to the season against less than stellar opponents. That will continue until January with the exception of a game this week against Marshall Co.

 

7. Ballard Memorial (1-1)

Close game against Marshall Co. and a good win against Fulton City. They play Tighlman and Graves over the next 10 days so that will give a good estimate of their place in the region.

 

8. Fulton County (1-1)

Lost big to Murray in the first game of the season and then beat a team from Illinois handily. Still believe this team has enough talent to pull an upset or two this year.

 

9. Calloway County (1-1)

Nice win against St. Mary. Real test this week as they host McCracken and Graves. They will have the chance to move up in the standings if they can win either of those games.

 

10. St. Mary (1-2)

Played a good close game against Carlisle Co. but did not play as well in an away loss to Calloway Co. Should win a couple more games in the next week or two.

 

11. Hickman County (1-1)

Beat Community Christian, then lost to St. Mary in a close game.

 

12. Mayfield (0-0)

Have yet to play a game this year. Still celebrating their Football State Title!

 

13. Fulton City (1-3)

Lost a tough game in triple OT to Clarksburg, TN. Got win number one at Fort Campbell.

 

14. Christian Fellowship (0-4)

Have been more competitive in their games this year, still out matched however.

 

15. Community Christian (0-2)

Looking forward to games against Dawson Springs and Christian Fellowship

 

* Players to Watch

Jamarrion Williams has busted on the seen averaging 20 ppg for Ballard Memorial.

James Boone (Samford Commit) picked up where he left of avg 15.7 ppg for Murray.
