Kentucky Is #1 When It Comes To Heroin Addiction

Featured Replies

With the crackdown on prescription narcotic pain medications at the federal and state levels' date=' an increase in heroin use was bound to happen. One of the unintended consequences of this however is that overdose deaths are skyrocketing because the purity of heroin bought on the street is an unknown. At least with prescription meds, the user knows exactly what he or she is taking. With heroin, this is not the case. I have several doctor clients who are absolutely convinced that the new laws governing the prescribing of narcotics have actually done more harm than good. I personally have never done heroin, but based on what I've read and been told by some in the medical profession, it is incredibly addictive and the recovery process is excruciating. I sympathize for all the families that are dealing with such a destuctive drug.[/quote']

Well said, I agree on all counts.
