First win for the Freshman Pioneers! Great job!

What? No hate messages on the young Pioneers yet? I'm surprised. Good game tonight. Defense looked great when it counted most and the RB and QB are getting better. Wait til some of these young Pioneers are Juniors and Seniors.

Congratulations to the Freshman Pioneers.

For those not there, can anyone tell us what the Pioneers did to win this game? How did they score? The QB and RB for SK were mentioned... what did they do and were there others that should be mentioned for their contributions to the effort?

How did the Rebels do (besides not score)? Were there any positives for them? I thought they may at least get on the score board and make it a game against the Pioneer freshman. Who contributed in a losing effort? In the post by @BigDaddy6 it sounds like SK's defense may have allowed some offense by Boone but managed to keep them off the scoreboard.

I was not able to attend and am interested in hearing a bit about it.

Congratulations to the Freshman Pioneers.

Simon Kenton's defense was outstanding with a big stop in the red zone and another goal line stand. Simon scored by pounding the ball with the running game in the first half. The best things that I saw from Boone was that their defense put a lot of pressure on the Simon QB however he responded by scrambling and outrunning them to the edge but then the SK line is not very good right now and they look more like bullfighters yelling Ole!! Boone also has a nice TE who can catch and Simon had trouble stopping the TE Dump into the seam.

Thx for the response, @BigDaddy6. I heard Boone had a first and goal on the 5 but lost yards on an option. Went for it on 4th and 9 with a run up the middle and made it to the 1 yd line. Good stop for SK.

And yep, that seam pass has worked all year. TE may be Jake Woods (41) or RJ Summers (26). Woods usually lines up on the left and RJ on the right. Both have made nice catches for Boone. Woods went for about 70 yds against Dixie. Noah Shamblin (29) catches some out of the slot.

41 was the only TE target they were successful throwing the ball to.
