The Mercy Jaguars come up on the "hill" and take 3 in a row from the Breds.

 

It's amazing to see how all the girls from Mercy know how to get off the floor and hit with such power. :scared: The one thing that stood out the most for me was all the Mercy players had great court awareness, and knew where the NewCath players weren't. Also, you didn't see hardly any mental mistakes.

 

The Breds didn't back down one bit and gave a great effort, but it was clear they were over-matched. It also doesn't hurt when you have 14 extra bodies on the bench to go along with the 6 on the court. :eek:

 

 

 

Game 1 - Breds get the early 1-0 lead, but that was short lived, as the Jags quickly go out in front 7-3. It balloons to 18-8, and the Breds would get no closer than 22-14 before the final margin of 25-14.

 

Game 2 - Again the Breds grab a 1-0 lead and are ahead 4-3, before Mercy goes on a 10-3 run, at 13-7. NewCath would get no closer before falling, 25-12.

 

Game 3 - This one the Breds led most of the way, albeit Mercy was subbing just about every girl on the bench. It was back and forth until NewCath took a 9-6 lead. Mercy ties it at 11-11 and then the Breds take leads of 15-12, & 19-14. The Jags go on a 7-1 run and go out in front 21-20, and the game ends 25-21 Mercy.

 

The Breds travel to "Cake-town" tomorrow to take on district rival Highlands.
