Lovely evening for a football game at Boone County's Hauck stadium played on the natural grass just like God intended.

 

Boone scored 5 touchdowns and 3, 2-point conversions. Boone controlled this one right from their first offensive play as the FB tore through the middle, discarded the last would-be tackler and went for 40-45 yards. Boone had three rushing TDs and two through the air, one being about a 70 yard seam pass to the TE who got behind the defense which was anticipating another gash up the middle. Those who scored for Boone were Woods (70 yd) and Summers through the air (passes thrown by Grau); and rushing TDs by Freeman and Shutt (2).

 

I do not know who scored for Dixie. Dixie's QB is an athlete and will do just fine in H.S. football. They have some big boys on their team and other fine athletes. This team can develop over the length of the season.

 

Dixie did have an injury that looked serious. I hope the young man is doing well and that his injuries are not as serious as they first appeared.

Boone has a tough schedule going forward playing the likes of Cooper, Cov Cath, Highlands, and Campbell County. Boone's record is now 2-1 having lost to Ryle while defeating Dixie and Holmes.

I should have included Conner on the list of upcoming games for Boone.

Good for Boone, hope the Frosh success ignites some enthusiasm in the school and gets more kids out of the hallways and on to the gridiron.
