First and Second Region favorites

Featured Replies

First it will be Paducah and Murray to fight it out

Second will be between Hopkinsville and Christian Co as they have a new coach that will get them under control by March!:D:D:angrybird8::angrybird9:

Completely agree. I think graves, marshal and Carlisle will be sleepers but paducah and Murray are leaps and bounds ahead. In the second I think trigg will be pretty good and Webster is always a scrappy team ie. ( they were leading Hoptown at halftime in last years region final) UHA could be a sleeper if someone steps up to help tray Hollowell

Someone stepping up to help Hollowell was never the issue at UHA. He had an outstanding supporting cast last year. I don't mean to throw stones but it seems like the kid is difficult to play with and is more concerned with getting his shots.

He will need some help this year if they are going to win another all A

Tray lost the next best players on the team in jonta acree and jaylen sebree. He will definitely need some help to win the all A again. I don't think he's a bad teammate. The team last year had some talent but had lost almost all of their key players to graduation and transfers. The team actually played well at the end of the season. They knocked off christian county in the district tournament to make it to the region tournament.

Sorry can't agree with you there. If memory serves me correctly, they will only have to beat Dawson Springs to win the All A region since everyone else is boycotting the tournament. Here's a link to the story - http://bluegrasspreps.com/controversial-issues/all-debate-3-a-305021.html

Getting back to the original topic, here's my top teams for the 2nd region -

1A. Hopkinsville

1B. Christian County

3. Trigg County

4. Henderson County

5. Madisonville-North Hopkins

Webster County is a dark horse. Mason Rowland will be tough to replace but Newton does a great job of getting the most out of his teams.

I forgot about the boycott of the all a. You're right they won't have much competition there. I agree with the region 2 rankings. Who will Henderson have returning? I know they had 5 senior starters and some seniors on the bench.

Henderson dosent have much returning but don't count them out. They have plenty of players their problem will be at point gaurd. I hear they could be getting a kid that is from evansville who is on the football team now. This kid is a sophomore and he can fly. They are saying he is faster then Washington. So if he dosent get hurt playing football he could be their starting pg or at least back up.

Henderson's sophomore good is really good. They'll reload this year and be a 2nd tier team but next year they'll be a legitimate threat again.

Had really good summer without Calloway and the new player so they might be better then you think.
