The Scott Eagles come up to the "hill", and take 3 in a row to down the Breds.

 

Game 1 - Both teams traded points until the Breds take 4 pt. leads at 15-11 & 18-14, however the Eagles 5-1 run to take a 20-19 lead. The Breds respond with 4-0 run to go up 23-20, but they were unable to close it out. They were up 24-23, 25-24, & 26-25 with the serve, but the Eagles escape with the 28-26 win. Both teams played a hell of a game, with many unbelievable plays to either get the point or save the point. :ylsuper:

 

Game 2 - NewCath starts off up 4-2, but then the Eagles take over and go on a 5-0 run to go up 7-4. They extend their lead to 15-9 & 22-11, before the Breds make a very nice 7-0 run and get to 22-18. However , the Eagles score 3 straight to claim the 25-18 victory.

 

Game 3 - Once again the Breds get off to a lead at 5-1, but the Eagles respond with a run a draw near at 6-5. From here Scott takes leads of 11-7, 14-10, & 20-15, before the Breds tie things up at 20's. Scott gets the next 3, but the Breds again tie it up at 23's, before Scott takes the next 2 for the 25-23 win.

 

The Breds travel to Louisville this weekend to play in the LIVT where they will play on Friday and Saturday.

 

In their pool, Bishop Watterson (Columbus, Oh) & Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN).....according to Max Preps Briarcrest is ranked #1 in the state of Tennessee and #23 in the nation. :eek:

From recent results that include a win against Beechwood and close losses to Mercy (OH) and Scott, I'd say NCC is heading in the right direction. Hats off to the athletes and coaches for their improvement.
