St Xavier 21 Central Hardin 0 (Frosh)

In a game played on Paul M Young Field, the freshmen Tigers earned a hard-fought 21-0 win over an outmanned Central Hardin squad. St Xavier dressed 96 while the Bruins dressed 26 for the season opener for the freshmen Tigers. The game was scoreless after 1 quarter. St. Xavier punched in two scores rushing the ball in the second quarter. St Xavier tacked on one short screen for a TD in the third quarter for the final margin. Aric Lyons was the starting QB for the Tigers. Matthew Rhodes and Beck O'Daniel were the offensive standouts for St. X. Dane Kidwell was the leader of the Tigers defense. The Tigers were penalized around 100 yards, which kept the score closer than anticipated. Central Hardin ran a very limited offense and attempted one pass which fell incomplete on the night.
