Oldtimebaseball84
Covcath scoring......hopefully I get it correct Lamb assisted by Litzler Day (sorry, was in the restroom. No details) Day on PK earned by Jacobs Epplin assisted by Lamb ( I think) Second half Litzler assisted by Lamb Sk keeper made lots of nice saves, especially in the second half
Oldtimebaseball84
Not sure who scored for SK but CovCath had a not so smart foul just inside the mid line. Long play in on the restart that was misheaded by CCH defender backwards towards CCH goal. goalie had to make a leaping backwards save and had to throw the ball out, or he would have fallen into the goal with it. The ball went right to a SK player in front of the net and he buried it into the open goal.
groinpull
For a team that has high hopes this year, another so-so effort. CCH used a mixed lineup pretty much the entire game and probably played 20 kids I'm guessing, but the communication continues to be poor and the mental mistakes are still there (see note about needless foul above). The speed of play will need to dramatically improve for CCH to play with, and beat, some of the high level teams coming up on their schedule. About half the squad is there and the other half has to think way too much about what comes next after they receive the ball. SK's defense did play hard the entire game and kept them in it. Second half was better for CCH even though it yielded only one goal as they settled down and possessed a bit more.

This is one of the few games on their schedule that present a good test. CCH needs to play it straight up to win, last thing they need to do is worry about playing time, play your best 12-14 players that you see playing come mid October. Current injuries may dictate some additional players playing and playing a bigger role now then come mid October, understandable. Don't care if its August 22, put your best players/team on the field and keep them out there.
