Any thoughts on any key players?

Martin, Lefler, and Poland are very skilled players. Martin especially has a high motor. Lefler has a feather touch on the ball. That touch translates better to indoor ball but also is exceptional on the turf.

 

I do not know about the supporting cast as I am not from Walton but do know those three boys. Fine young men to boot.

The Bearcats went 12-9-1 in 2014 ending their season in the first round of Districts with a 3-1 loss to Simon Kenton. They only graduated 4 Seniors including 3 starters (all backs).

 

WV returns starting GK Jake Poland and leading scorer (F) Jeremy Moran (17 goals and 3 assists). The entire starting midfield returns, including Michael Martin (7 goals and 9 assists) and Zach Leffler (5 goals and 13 assists).

 

WV will be improved in 2015 and can challenge Simon Kenton for a District title this year, but getting out of Region 8 with the Oldhams may be a bridge too far.

Anyone know where some of the WV boys play club ball?

I believe the guys I know play for a team in NKSA with a couple of guys from Cov Cath and another from Campbell County. My son played some indoor with that lot and they wanted him to sign up for their NKSA team.

YC, you are a wealth of knowledge!

I am not so sure about that, I think it might be more like "full of useless knowledge".

Lefler is definitely their best returning player. However, to compete in their district they're going to have to beef up their schedule a bit more. Playing Gallatin, Owen, and Carroll 2-3 times a year won't do it.

Talented group- will see how depth works out but great group kids with a solid core to the team.

Good start bluegrass - got a lot of kids good touches and game experience.
