Russell improves to 19-9. Russell lead 4-2 going into the bottom of the 7th and almost threw it away. Literally. A couple errors and it was 4-3 with the bases loaded and zero outs. Ground ball to third became a 4 to 1 double play then a fly ball to Center for the final out of the game and Russell held on to win a good game. This was the type of game Russell needed to win. 5 of their 9 losses have been of the 1 run verity.

 

Justin Potter pitched for Russell and had a very nice game. Kasey Clark and Josh Lemmings both had triples on that huge Ironton field. Russell also had 2 doubles I think.

Sorry. Bases loaded no outs. Ground ball to the third baseman. Threw to home for the force, then the Catcher threw to 1st base for the force. In my 4 to 1 comment I was referring to bases, not positions.
